A Note From the Publisher

Happy October!

I pray this gorgeous edition of Kinetics Magazine (thank you, Devra!) finds you in good health and high spirits. The start of autumn is a most welcome change around our house. We look forward to the cool evenings and can’t wait until it is chilly enough to light the first fire of the season in our family room fireplace. Hot chocolate, flavored with pumpkin pie spice, is our favorite sipping drink in the fall. Long, leisurely Scrabble games take the place of last month’s evenings spent by the pool.

As Halloween approaches, our family nestles into a completely different routine of togetherness and shared times. The hustle and bustle of summer days in the sun is behind us while snuggling up to watch romantic movies beckons us. In the autumn we gather round the kitchen table and the warmth of the hearth with open hearts and an attitude of gratitude.

This year, in particular, we are counting our blessings in light of everything that is happening in our country, and around the world. The staggering unemployment rate, the slipping value of our dollar, the threat of still more wars all contribute their energy to the waves of uncertainty presently washing over our nation. I know that we are a strong country filled with patriotic citizens. Therefore, I am confident that we’ll ride out our troubled times with true courage and good old common sense. Most importantly, I feel it is imperative that we strive to consciously maintain a positive outlook coupled with intelligent caution. As we stand tall and together, I know America will prevail as a world leader due to our continued commitment and love of democracy and genuine freedom.

May you and yours be blessed in all ways as we enter the last months of 2009.

In the radiance of love,

Kathryn
