We are never more fully alive, more completely ourselves or more deeply engrossed in anything than when we are playing. -  Charles Schaefer

The cold winter days will soon be melting into the glorious song of spring. With the renewed celebration of life are inner child is ready to come out and play. And who would be better to help us on this journey of playfulness and joy then the graceful and fun Otter. She is the embodiment of the great feminine spirit and offers all who ask her gifts of playfulness and creativity. If you are open to her she will fill your soul with curiosity and your heart with imagination. She will help you move from the dark of winter to the warmth of spring and summer.

Our daily lives are now so busy and fill that we find little time to play and be jovial. And when we do find the time we are controlled and cautious to not have too much fun. For what would others think if they saw a grown up being their true and authentic self, having fun, playing and exploring. Well, I have news this is how it should be! We must take on the carefree and strong attitude of the Otter. She is the keeper of the family and shares her joy with others. Can family and joy and be incorporated into your life more?

Otter is here this month to help you reconnect with your playfulness and joy. We all take life way to seriously and she can help us live in the now and have fun while we are doing it. All that it takes is a shift in the attitudes that keep us stuck and stagnated. As we grow up we lose our innocence of play and imagination to create the life of our dreams. We are told it’s unrealistic to frolic and play in fields of life after a certain age. Well, this is wrong and Otter is here to the rescue. Now, is the time to start having fun again in your everyday experience. Laugh, explore, create and be free to express what has been suppressed for far too long. It is time to put balance back into our lives and this means that we must express our beautiful spirits through joy and play. It is unnatural not to express ourselves this way. It is when we don’t play that we get stressed, sick and even depressed. Let your inner Otter out to play every day!

We are still in light of the New Year and can incorporate new rituals into our life very easily if we want to. So, find out what excites you and makes you giggle and want to play. Take time every day and express your inner child. Take an art class, watch funny movies or explore new and magical places. We can still be the responsible adult and have fun. Let your light shine, for our true brilliance is found in a happy heart. Release and relax life is way too short not to have fun. Call on Otter and be who you were born to be.

Always remember to explore your Scared Mother Earth; she is here to guide you. Blessed be and happy journeys.
