Are We Soul Mates?

“ARE WE SOULMATES?” was created as a forum for questions and answers to bring all of us ever closer to that perfect union of Heaven and Earth that is the SoulMate or Twin Flame. Mystic Yael Powell at Circle of Light has been the “pen in God’s hand” for over 35 years, receiving daily Messages during meditation. A great many of these are about SoulMates (or Twin Flames – used interchangeably). They make clear that each of us does have a SoulMate or Twin Flame with whom we were created and the SoulMate is an actual part of us, always in our energy field. When we connect deeply with someone on the Earth plane, our SoulMate in spirit is reflecting like a mirror through that person into the physical plane on Earth.

Q. I am looking for the real truth about soul mates. Can you have more than one? I have always been drawn again and again to the same person but it has not worked out and I am wondering whether I have more than one.

A. To answer this question in the truth we have been given through the Messages from God, we must distinguish between our life as humans on Earth and who we truly are in the grander picture of eternal life. We have been shown beyond any doubt that we are beings of great vastness and that this experience as humans on Earth is only one of our many adventures.

From the larger perspective, we each have an eternal Twin Flame (what is often referred to as SoulMate in Earth language) -- only one. This is the being with whom we were created at the Moment of Creation, the moment when the Love God Is exploded in giving and created multitudinous cells of God’s heart – us! This being has always been with us, in our energy field, around us, but most of us have not been aware of our other half. This beautiful and perfect other half of our being watches us having an Earth experience and often guides us --through our intuitions or feelings.

Our Twin Flame desires to be as close to us as possible. This leads to relationships on Earth through which our Twin Flame reflects to us Love in all its manifestations. The Twin Flame comes through our relationships on Earth and gives us the pure Love of the SoulMate to the extent that we are able to open our hearts to Love and only Love. The hallmark of Twin Flame Love is giving without expectation for self. You can see that most Earth relationships have other goals and aims than unconditional giving.

To the extent that we are able to open our hearts and give Love forth selflessly – to that extent will our Twin Flame within who has always been with us REFLECT in someone in a body before us. Therefore, different Earth relationships throughout our lives have “contained” reflections of our Twin Flame to different degrees. Now, in this time of transformation, more and more people are opening hearts and thus the mirror of the Twin is more evident in what we call “Twin Flame relationships.”

The truth is that your one and only Twin Flame, your true God-given Love, has always been with you, and looking with a careful eye, you will see that he or she was visible in every relationship you have ever had. Our innate desire to be Love and only Love now guides us to a clearer reflection of our Twin Flame in a relationship in the world, before us.

Q. Different things I have read give conflicting interpretations about twin soul love. The one I have read the most is that twin soul love is something that a person has to become worthy of by mastering a state of enlightenment. What about that? Another is that people come together to learn lessons together. This is why the twin soul coming together is often described as tumultuous. What do you think?

A. Of course there are many different interpretations of twin souls and many different explanations as hearts on Earth stretch toward understanding. The information given here has come through the Messages from God for many years, as described above in our biography.

What we understand is that Twin Flame Love is our natural destiny, the way we were created. The Twin Flame (twin soul) is always present with us and always has been. We are inseparable. The problem is that most people here on Earth are not able to perceive or feel this Twin who is part of one’s inner being. This condition, plus the yearning for real Love that is deep within us, often makes people think they have to “work hard” or strive to achieve Love – that Love is attached to some sort of spiritual achievement.

It is true that the more deeply one’s heart opens through one’s spiritual focus, the easier it is to connect both in consciousness (and possibly even in the physical) with a being who reflects the pure Love of the Twin Flame. This is a matter of vibration. The higher, lighter your vibration, the closer you are to Real Love. This often occurs not only through spiritual study but through connection with Nature, quiet, art and any peaceful aspect of life.

In our understanding, Twin Flame Love is not, however, about tumult or learning life lessons. These lessons are the province of the ego and relationships as defined by life on Earth only. Even though two people may seem very different in personality and life styles, if they are truly drawn to one another in a Twin Flame reflection – meaning that their open hearts have drawn them to one another, perhaps with spiritual intentions as well – they will resolve any personality challenges. The Love will overcome!
