True Healthcare Reform
By Dave Markowitz
As of last month, there were approximately 30 million uninsured Americans. And as menacing as that sounds, it’s a lot worse than that! Firstly, a big Thank You to all persons on both “sides of the isle” for their attempts to better this situation; however, there is a much more alarming figure: those who don’t equate emotional growth into their healthcare.
If you’ve ever dieted and exercised and still didn’t permanently lose weight, you know what I mean. The reason this didn’t work is because the last third of the triad, the emotional aspects. I’ve worked with countless numbers of people who have stayed overweight because of the unexpressed grief they’re holding onto. When we add this important aspect to their healthcare, the weight comes off, sometimes seemingly effortlessly.
Most of us hang onto memories from the past: anger, hurt, resentment, jealousy, and sadness are pervasive in our 100 trillion cells—and each has its own story to tell. These emotional blockages create energetic blockages. As energy is the building block of what appears to be matter, physical problems have to develop in a body holding onto painful memories from the past. Likewise, worry and anxiety about the future and even the present also create blockages and thus pains and illness. My experience leads me to believe that until this is common knowledge, no matter what kind of healthcare reform is made in Washington DC, we will still be an unhealthy people overall.
While it is certainly a step in the right direction, all paths have many steps. Yet even many alternative therapies are still missing the point. Not only do we need to be aware of and purge the underlying emotional causes, we need to stop focusing on the physical domain. Granted if your back is painful it’s hard to do, but as we all know, what you focus on expands. If you ever say to yourself “I shouldn’t have back pain” you’re still focusing on the symptom and recreating more back pain because of the energy of the sentence and the feelings generally associated with such a statement. If we come from lack of acceptance or judgment— low-vibration energies—this can only lead to more low-vibration experiences.
While acknowledging the emotional aspect and purging that as needed, it’s vital to then heal with more high-vibration thoughts, words, and actions. We need to pull out the weeds and plant new seeds! The former is best done through a process I call Healing with Source, where though conversation, awareness, and presence we ascertain the underlying symptoms together and then purge them. This can be done in person or by phone and its success is relative to your openness, acceptance, and willingness to do your emotional and spiritual growth. In my experience, if the underlying symptom isn’t removed, the problem always returns. And because all pain and illness is a result of stagnant energy, that too gains momentum and can lead to more serious pain and illness. Sinus problems, for example, later manifest as a deeper respiratory illness, so it’ll appear to be a new issue, but it’s not. Get to the root ASAP, work with the message, pull out the weeds, and plant new seeds. To me, that is TRUE healthcare reform.
