A Note From the Publisher

My dear Readers:

I am aghast by the fact we are already standing at the foothills of the holiday season building to and the imminent finale of the year 2009. I cannot remember any year, in my recent history, elapsing with such speed and precision! This year has carved, in my memory, an indelible trail of controversy and transformation. No one in my life has been left unscathed by the happenings of 2009. From suffering the pangs of financial instability and experiencing the need for unexpected career flexibility to undergoing the loss of tenured friendships, this year has challenged us all, on one level or another. In talking about this, with many friends, I realize that it’s all a part of the shifting paradigm of consciousness at hand.

We are being influenced now by so much more than economic collapses, pandemics and soaring unemployment rates. We are smack-dab in the middle of a galactic changing of the guard. And when we arrive on the other side of this transition, relatively little will remain the same. As we pass from one stage of human consciousness to the next, we will witness the unfolding and deepening of our spiritual natures. How very exciting. Of course, we do need to put on our seat belts, for we are in for a bumpy ride! The old is not going to pass away easily or quietly. Yet, we can soften the inevitable impact and simplify the shift by remaining positive.

Now is that moment in time when our patience, compassion and kindheartedness will be valued most. Living by the Golden Rule really is no longer an option. If we are to genuinely contribute to the betterment of humankind, not to mention the survival of our planet, it is high time we begin to be living examples of spiritual harmony. Within harmony there exists peace, health, happiness and abundance. These are our birthrights. Nothing can take them from us unless we are willing to relinquish them. In the midst of total chaos, a rich level of order is present. Even in our times of emotional angst and mental concern, there still remains so very much, for which to be thankful. Here is an affirmation to help us reinforce the many treasures our lives do hold.

THANKSGIVING

I am eternally grateful for the love than laces my life with joy. I am beholden to the friends and family that offer me acceptance and I am obliged to the situations that urge me to grow.

Affirmation

“I am thankful to Great Spirit for showering my life with treasures, great and small.”

With Love,

Kathryn
