“ARE WE SOULMATES?” was created as a forum for questions and answers to bring all of us ever closer to that perfect union of Heaven and Earth that is the SoulMate or Twin Flame. Mystic Yael Powell at Circle of Light has been the “pen in God’s hand” for over 30 years, receiving daily Messages during meditation. A great many of these are about SoulMates (or Twin Flames – used interchangeably). They make clear that each of us does have a SoulMate or Twin Flame with whom we were created and the SoulMate is an actual part of us, always in our energy field. When we connect deeply with someone on the Earth plane, our SoulMate in spirit is reflecting like a mirror through that person into the physical plane on Earth.

Q. I have been having an intense connection with someone but now all sorts of difficulties seem to be surfacing. How do I know if this person is my SoulMate?

A. People all over the planet are feeling an increased desire for something beyond just "a relationship " -- for something deeper -- true Love, the Love of the SoulMate. This is a symptom of the transformational times in which we live. Though all of us live “on the Earth,” we are becoming aware that our life in the Spirit is the starting point for everything we do and create and shapes the relationships that we draw to us.

Most relationships at this time on Earth are very ego-based and are mostly focused on “getting” something for oneself. There is enormous judgment and expectation within most relationships. All of us have had ample experience of this. SoulMate or Twin Flame Love is very different. Its hallmark is the pure “giving” of Love from the heart without any expectations or needs to be fulfilled. It is unconditional. We are now being called to open to this kind of Love in the deepest possible way to be a part of creating Heaven on Earth, a world of Love and only Love.

We have been shown that each person was, indeed, created at the Moment of Creation with a Twin Flame (or SoulMate), our other half. Each Twin Flame pair (the “two who are one”) is a unique being with its own signature or vibration. But, the Twin Flame is not another person in a physical body to whom you are attracted on the Earth plane. The Twin Flame is an integral part of your own energy field that is and has always been with you. You have never been apart from your Twin Flame, nor can you be. You were created together and you are the same energy.

So what about relationships on Earth? What about this person to whom you are so attracted? Why does it have “ups and downs”? Many people are now strongly feeling the activation of their Twin Flame within. Often this brings someone toward us in our life here on the physical plane, a reflection of the awakening Love in our hearts. It may or may not be the reflection we desire. There is still the mixture of ego responses in relationship along with reflections of pure Love. Often people think they have "found their Twin" in someone in the world, someone who appears in their life. Equally often, for one reason or another, this person cannot reflect to you the Love you desire.

WHATEVER IS IN YOUR OWN HEART CONCERNING LOVE, CONCERNING RELATIONSHIP, WILL ABSOLUTELY APPEAR BEFORE YOU IN A PARTNER OR A POTENTIAL PARTNER. In that sense "the Twin" is an absolute mirror and will show himself/herself as whatever your heart believes about Love. If someone appears but is not truly available for one reason or another or not what you truly desire, it means that your own heart still needs to open and clear in order to draw a perfect reflection of the Twin within. This may mean that you still hold hidden beliefs that Love can hurt, that one is not worthy to truly be loved and many other false beliefs that you are holding, consciously or often, unconsciously. The person before you will act those out.

The starting point for those who truly desire to experience the SoulMate or Twin Flame both within and reflected without in a physical relationship on Earth is to clear the heart and open to Spirit and to connection with the Twin Flame within. Whatever is experienced within will reflect in the world without, before you. Going within is the pathway, during meditation, during quiet time in nature, at the beginning or end of each day in the silence. Call to your SoulMate, your Twin Flame through your heart. Speak to him/her in the silence and know that the Love of the Twin within is the pathway to creating the perfect world of Love and only Love on Earth. Miraculously, as you clear your own heart, the person before you will shift. Or, if that is not possible, another person will appear who is even more what you desire, the perfect reflection of your now clear heart.

Q. I have recently met my SoulMate but he is married and lives in another city. I too am married and have children. I am wondering what to do. Should I break up my relationship to be with him? Please help!

A. Spirit has told us that many of us are looking at SoulMates as you would look at a physical plane mate in an Earth relationship. But, the union of true SoulMates is far grander than this. The SoulMate or Twin Flame is the divine complement, the partner with whom you were created on the spiritual plane. People to whom you are attracted on Earth are always reflection of this (often imperfect reflections is your own heart is not yet completely open.)

If a person is for any reason not truly free and available, that person is not your expression of your SoulMate or Twin Flame. This is a clear message that your SoulMate is near, for you are being drawn to his/her energy, but there is something in you that is keeping him away. There is a reason you have made him appear close, but really far away - tantalizing you with the great recognition, yes, but far enough away for safety. Most of the time the reason for this is your fear or other blocks in your own heart. You want your Love but you are at the same time afraid. For whatever reason, you are not allowing your SoulMate to actually come to you free and completely available.

SoulMate Love will NEVER break up another relationship. That is not how Love works. That is a limited vision of Love to think there is not enough to go around so you must take something from another. A relationship begun with pain to another, or with someone who is not finished where they are, cannot ever be the basis for true SoulMate union. If someone is still in a relationship, regardless of the whatever tales of woe, that person is not complete. They are not finished. If they were ready to be the vehicle of your SoulMate union, they would be free. The "solution" to all this is to open and clear your own heart so you are completely available to Twin Flame Love. When you do, everything in your life will clear before you. Your present partner will either clear his heart, OR another person will appear who is able to give you the Love of the SoulMate that your clear heart desires. Making the commitment to opening your heart means being open to Love coming to you in any of these forms. Everything before us is the out-picturing of what is in our heart.
