Shaping The Future of Humanity: Nourishing The Soul of Our
Children Today

The way we care for, heal, and educate our children around the world today will determine the course of our human civilization. On the global scale, this means that we must all share in the building of bridges across the chasm that now exists between religions, between the wealthy and the poor, between races, between genders, between life styles, and between humanity and the rest of nature. Today, these are some of the basic societal conditions in which we are raising all of our children. We need to realize - and soon - that all children today are being brought up in a world-wide broken home and dysfunctional family. A toxic environment on any level, whether it is chemically or emotionally damaging or whether it harms our body or psychic sensitivities, is an abusive environment that propagates suffering.

If we hope to answer to the massive distress call for global healing and help usher humanity into a truly new and golden age prophesied for millennia, we each need to examine first what we can do now to feed, shelter, educate and heal our children. And, to treat not only the symptoms of dysfunction and illness, but also their true causes, we need to discover who we are really attempting to care for.

If we are willing to set aside our assumptions about who our children are or who we want or expect them to be, we may re-discover them as the divine and immortal souls that they truly are. In order to heal the whole of humanity, we need to realize that our children today are the new emissaries from our future: How we treat them now shapes the evolution of the human species.

And, evolving we are. The major step that the human species is taking at this time is one of consciousness - and, of course, consciousness determines our biology, the direction that our DNA will follow. During the previous cycle of human evolution, we developed the reasoning aspect of our mind and we can readily see the major advances in science and technology that we as a species have made. It has truly changed the way we live in our physical bodies and in the world. Yet, it has become more than obvious that great advances in scientific understanding and technological capabilities without a commensurate development of a deeper wisdom and a greater appreciation of our true nature often bring about additional suffering even when previous ills are mitigated. We need to progress to our next stage on this evolutionary ladder. It is time to move up from primarily relying on our reasoning ability to the development of our intuition and to living a truly spirit-inspired life.

It is our innate capacity for intuitive knowing that allows us to experience the cosmic, the all-ness of that which is. The blossoming of the flower of this intuitive knowing is what has traditionally been called, “Cosmic Consciousness”. Rare individuals throughout history have attained this state of mind, yet for most of humanity, the ability to have this awareness has lain dormant. Now, as the whole of humanity, we are preparing to establish this level of experience in our collective consciousness. And, the souls who are currently our children and those yet to be born into this world will usher in the next phase of this wondrous evolutionary process.

True intuition emerges as a direct consequence of our certainty in Divinity or That Which Is. We cannot access it intellectually - no matter how hard we think about it! In fact, it avails itself to us only when we can let go of our desire to try to control things intellectually and transcend the reasoning aspect of the mind. The mind “closes in” or “wraps” itself around “space” in order to reason. It makes empty space into objects we call “thoughts”. Intuition, on the other hand, requires that we “unwrap” our mind from thoughts to open it up to that limitless and eternal space that we refer to as “Divinity”.

When we feel inspired, we have a sense of being lifted higher. Inspiration comes in through the opening of our intuitive capacities. Intuition is literally the doorway between our body-mind and spirit. In fact, what we consider to be our “psychic” abilities are all functions of who we are as immortal souls. And, this is why so many more of those who are now children are manifesting a variety of psychic abilities. This is an essential part of our current evolutionary step. It is also a natural function of being truer to our spiritual self. Every awake human being is highly intuitive and is a high-functioning psychic person.

Often, even spiritual teachers have, however, cautioned their students against trying to develop psychic abilities. The reason for this was that they knew that psychic abilities would naturally develop as their students pursued their spiritual awakening. As well, the teachers knew that if the students put the cart before the horse, that is, their ego-directed interest in strengthening their psychic “powers” first instead of their spiritual development, then, not only would their priorities be subverted, but also it would seriously hamper their spiritual progress. Yet, today, many more of the souls who are being born are coming into their incarnations with their abilities already open and functioning at a much higher level than in previous generations. They need the validation, support and guidance in how to develop these strong abilities and how to manage their overall intuitive sensitivities and natural spiritual awareness. For them, it’s not a question about trying to develop their psychic abilities separately from their spiritual growth. For many of these souls, without correct instruction in the management, development and use of their psychic, intuitive abilities, they will at best struggle and at worst get waylaid in their fulfillment of purpose and suffer the consequences.

To open the gates to a golden age for human civilization, we need to care for the incoming souls who will shape the future generations. To nourish these souls, especially during their formative years here in their current incarnation, we must develop ways of validating, nurturing, and guiding them to the blossoming of their intuition and other soul-related psychic abilities. It isn’t only their physical nutrition and health that we need to address, but, perhaps even more essentially, we must tend to their soul diet and health.

A healthy pregnant mother naturally begins to be more attentive to her own nutritional needs, overall health and to the kind of environment she needs to live in if she is to provide the best opportunity for her incoming child’s well-being. She knows intuitively that she is the most important avenue for her incoming child’s chances of starting on the right footing on earth. In the same way, each of us, as stewards of our children’s health and education, must redirect our priorities to experientially understanding more deeply our own inner spiritual nature. We need to learn to trust our innate intuitive connection and live in alignment with our soul-self if we hope to nourish the souls of our children. Only then can we begin to establish a new and fully sustainable foundation for the future of humanity and our planet. If this sounds to you like you’d need a miracle to accomplish it, you do.
