Be At Ease: There’s A Time for Everything

by Kathy Kirk

Ecclesiastes 3:1-8

1. To every thing there is a season, and a time to every purpose under the heavens:

2. A time to be born, and a time to die; a time to plant, and a time to pluck up that which is planted;

3. A time to kill, and a time to heal; a time to break down, and a time to build up;

4. A time to weep, and a time to laugh; a time to mourn, and a time to dance;

5. A time to cast away stones, and a time to gather stones together; a time to embrace, and a time to refrain from embracing;

6. A time to get, and a time to lose; a time to keep, and a time to cast away;

7. A time to rend, and a time to sew; a time to keep silence, and a time to speak;

8. A time to love, and a time to hate; a time of war, and a time of peace

The human mind lost in its separation from Source twists and turns resisting the Natural Order of things. It has endless ways of making us feel “wrong” or “not enough” or “inappropriate”. It doesn’t understand that we humans are an integral part of the Natural Order, Itself.

When there’s a snow day and the natural creatures of the earth are hibernating, we force ourselves onto the snowy roads, sitting in creeping traffic for hours to get to work, because the human mind says that we must or we’ll loose our job, and there’s not enough of those.

Human mind finds endless “causes” to fight against. We declare war on everything: terrorism, global warming, and drugs. The natural creatures are never at war with anything. They seem to understand that there is a perfection woven into all things and all events. I have yet to see a bluebird rise up and shake its wings in anger at God because the wind has knocked its nest from the tree. Neither do I see the trees in the forest forming a union to go on strike against fires and hurricane force winds or draught.

The 8 simple statements in Ecclesiastes 3:1-8 illustrate the inherent nature of duality of planet Earth, on which we all live. The duality is perfection, for contained within its wisdom is the ultimate variety of choices from which we get to exercise our free will and choose our new preference again and again and again. When we hate and feel horrible, so then, we choose to feel love. When we acquire things and find them no longer useful, then we choose to release them. It is an elegant system that responds to our new choices at every turn, as easily and quickly as we can allow ourselves our new choice.

The human mind would have us think there is not enough time for all the thing things we want to be or do or have, because in its separation from Source it doesn’t know our eternality. This life we currently live is what Joel Goldsmith (http://www.joelgoldsmith.com) called, "our parenthesis in eternity". These 80-90+ years that we get to frolic on Earth are but a nanosecond in eternity. Before we came we live; we live here and now this life; and after we leave Earth, we live. We are eternal consciousness that for a little while comes and plays in the physical on Earth. We will never get it done, because we will always have new desires, new ideas, new choices of infinite variety to create; and we have all of eternality in which to experience them.

There is the seasonality of not just the year in terms of seasons, but the seasonality of each day. Elegantly interwoven are the biorhythms of our biology – naturally. We awaken along with the birds with the morning light, or we would if the human mind would allow. We are alive and energetic and nourish ourselves; we feel the urge to create, so we “work”. At midday with the sun high over head we feel a need to rest and refresh, and in some places a time to nap. We return to the daylight of afternoon and put the finishing touches on that which we are up to that day; and in the evening we nourish ourselves, we play, we sleep and rejuvenate, returning to Well Being in our sleep state. All is perfectly orchestrated, if the human mind would let go and allow us our Natural Flow in the Natural World.

There is a way to be at ease in this world. It is by simply following how you feel in the moment. Do you feel hungry, then nourish yourself with what your body is asking for. Do you feel sleepy or tired, then rest yourself. Return to Well Being for 20-30 minutes and awaken “reset” and in the Flow of Source. Do you feel sad? Then turn to something that infuses you with joy or delight. Do you feel scared or anxious? Then turn your sights to the Natural World and behold peace, contentment, and safety. Do you feel there’s not enough time? Then notice the trees or some other natural creature that have no such thought to take them out of the Well Being of Eternality. Do you feel useless or not enough, then look at the daisy that pokes itself up between the cracks in the cement. It is. You are. It is enough.

We have come to this wonderful playground called Earth to delight in the game as it is played here. To enjoy this planet of duality, you must stay in the flow of Nature, the natural seasons of life, and know that all is well. We each have our Internal Guidance System, that Godchip that tells us when we are in the Flow, and when we have stepped out of the flow. To enjoy this travel adventure, we need stay in the flow and know that we are included in the Natural World and everything that we desire is answered, in its proper season in time. To be at ease you must recognize your human mind when it badgers you to be other than what feels Naturally Good.

The really interesting phenomenon that takes place when you stay in Well Being is that everything you need to do or want to do can happen in an instant. Now that’s what I would call a really efficient use of time.
