Hello dear eaders!
First, I must confess I find it astonishing our June edition of Kinetics has arrived so quickly. How has half the year rushed by already? It seems like just yesterday I was struggling to find room in the garage to store away my endless Christmas decorations! Now, it’s time to say “Happy Father’s Day to all you Dads! Plus, I am already working on my plans for our family’s annual Fourth of July extravaganza. This is a very big deal, for not only is my family an extremely patriotic one, but my youngest daughter, Adriana's birthday also happens to fall on July 6th. Of course, you might be silently asking, what does one have to do with the other? Well I’ll gladly tell you - you see, ever since Adriana was old enough to understand what a birthday signifies, I’ve told her that the fireworks and parades staged on the 4th of July were all in celebration of her birth!
Okay, hold it right there! Before you get all huffy and judgmental, please take a moment to think about this. Is that any worse then our sweet stories about the Tooth Fairy and the Easter Bunny? I’m sure if you give it a minute you’ll agree it was merely a loving mother’s attempt to show her beautiful baby girl how very cherished and adored she has always been. Well, anyway… having explained all of that, I must add that this year happens to be Adriana’s "Sweet Sixteen" birthday. Therefore, along with the car I've promised, I think we're going to put on a "Twilight" theme birthday bash (if only I had a telephone number for Robert Pattinson or Taylor Lautner, I’d be in like Flint this year)! Oh well, I think they are too busy filming New Moon to come to the party anyway. For those of you who don’t know about the Twilight series, where have you been? It’s time to get with it folks! However, I digress…
My original subject of concern was the swift and yet even swifter passage of time. As Creation speeds up so do our thoughts, our actions, and the manifestations of our dreams (or our most dreaded fears). Like it or not, we are inexorably entangled in the web of accelerated cosmic consciousness. Sounds like fun, huh? Well in reality, it actually is way cool. It just feels a little confusing from time to time. It appears that most of us have to sit on the sidelines while our global leaders destroy reality as we have come to know it over the past 50-60 years. Then, as if that’s not enough, we are all perched atop pins and needles as we wait to see if we’ll lose our jobs, homes and retirement funds in the process. This certainly doesn’t sound like much fun. But wait! There is more because the Anti-Christ has promised to appear somewhere in the middle of all this rabblerousing. In fact, many people think we’ll never get to true peace, better known by some as the next Golden Age, if we don’t suffer the dreaded torment of the Anti-Christ first! Yet, don’t you think it’s possible that he’s already here? We’ve got troops being attacked on multiple combat fronts, pandemics threatening humanity from every direction, a national economic collapse (holding hands with another housing spiral) staring us in the face, a nuclear threat in North Korea as well as a country divided over the definition of marriage.
By any definition, couldn’t this be classified as the end-times! Hopefully, this will be the time that marks the end of hatred, bigotry, prejudice and war! Hopefully, this will be the time that marks the end of supercilious imperialism and murder in the name of your God versus mine. Let this be the time when throughout all humanity ‘the time of authentic oneness’ commences. Let this be the time when genuine peace begins to burgeon in the higher heart of every man, woman and child alive. As the galactic clock ticks towards 2012 and beyond, let us all vow to awaken to the beauty and marvel of life. As our Mother Earth is pulled back to the Galactic Heart, allow yourself to banish any and all tendencies towards pettiness, fanaticism, the need to blame or ridicule and religious narcissism. As the Course In Miracles so beautifully states, “ There is only one of us here.” I believe the sooner we embrace this spiritual truism, the better life will be for “the one of us that is the all of us”. Our planet needs our love and attention, and what better way to heed Her call then by loving one another! What could possibly be a better birthday present for my children and yours, then to have us all gift them with a kinder, more loving and conscious world to grow up in, and eventually inherit!
In the radiance of love and light,
