The Declaration of Independence:
The Template for Oneness

“When in the Course of human events it becomes necessary for one people to dissolve the political bands which have connected them with another and to assume among the powers of the earth, the separate and equal station to which the Laws of Nature and of Nature's God entitle them, a decent respect to the opinions of mankind requires that they should declare the causes which impel them to the separation.

We hold these truths to be self-evident, that all men are created equal, that they are endowed by their Creator with certain unalienable Rights, that among these are Life, Liberty and the pursuit of Happiness.”

 

Have you ever wondered why you get chill bumps, tears in your eyes or a lump in your throat when you hear these words? It is because they are a message from Home. They are words of Truth, encoded in the founding documents for a new nation so that we will hear past the human mind rhetoric, and be reminded throughout all time of Who We Really Are. I have often thought that our founding fathers were listening with their Inner knowing as they drafted our documents, because certainly they were following their Inner Guidance to become free and establish a new nation. In the very first paragraph they refer to the Laws of Nature and of Nature’s God which entitles us. They understood inherently that everyone’s natural inheritance is the state of being, which is free, and that it cannot be given nor taken away by anyone or anything human. It is a natural right, given by God.

In the very next paragraph they state the premise from which everything else follows: that “all men are created equal…endowed by their Creator with certain unalienable Rights.” Here it is clearly laid out that every person born – no matter where – is considered equal in this new land. However, if you look at us as individuals, it is hardly apparent how it is, exactly, that we are equal. We come short, tall, thin, fat, smart and not so smart, whole and lame. If looking through human eyes, it is impossible to physically see what attribute is distributed equally to every man, woman and child on the face of the globe, generation after generation. Since this “equality” cannot be perceived with our human senses, then it must be a quality that is imparted by Nature’s God. Our equality, then, is that equal measure of God imparted to each of us at birth which is only perceived by our spiritual senses: knowing, intuition, heart, Inner Guidance or emotions. Therefore, we perceive this Truth and know it to be True by the lump in our throat or the chill bumps on our arms, because this Truth written in words is recognized immediately by our individual Godchip within.

These words and the documents that followed set the stage for a new consciousness being birthed on Earth. This new nation, America, would be the steward of the new consciousness for living Godmind on Earth. To fulfill this stewardship, we as a nation would have to continually grow our human consciousness in order to awaken into the Christed Consciousness. America would be the place where all thoughts were allowed to exist. It would be the place where anyone, from any other country on Earth could come and impart their uniqueness. It would be the one place where Oneness would be modeled on Earth. America is the steward of not just Democracy, but Oneness. As we struggle to work out the detail over the years, time after time we refer back to our founding documents for the guidelines: equality, One Nation, liberty and justice for all. And for 233 years now these timeless documents have served us well, as they point the way to the higher consciousness of Godmind and Oneness that embraces everyone, everything, every idea, and every creed. Significantly these documents say nothing about sameness, rather protect the idea of infinite variety, infinite possibility, and infinite uniqueness within the One.

Indeed, America is the template for heaven on Earth where everything under the sun is God, itself, having this glorious Earthly adventure. It works, because as Creators we have or will have, the Christed Consciousness that knows our individual connection with Source, and that Source – the Universe – can and does fulfill everyone’s desires at the same time. As we continue to work out the details of Democracy issue by issue, we find that this nation truly does include everyone and everything; and we are learning that there is not just plenty for everyone, but in fact an infinite supply. Now how do you suppose our Founding Fathers knew that? Inspiration. Thank heaven they were listening within. Let’s follow their example and listen within to our own Inner Guidance as we create this Renaissance in America. Happy Birthday America! We are richly blessed with each and every One of Us.
