As spiritual beings we are blessed to share this planet with other spiritual beings because we are all spiritual beings having a physical experience even when we think others are not particularly behaving spiritually. Of course, it is never us always others.
Once in a great while some of us are fortunate enough to meet our twin soul in this lifetime and get to share our lives with them. What is a twin soul? We believe that a twin soul is someone with whom we originally came on to this planet as one and then split so we could go our different ways and learn more things separately and come back together and share our lessons with each other and others in the world. Chuck and I believe that is what happened to us.
We met on Match.com six years and six months ago quite by fluke because I didn’t want anything to do with dating over the Internet. However, a very dear guy friend of mine insisted that if I didn’t enter my information that he would because it was time for me to “get out there again”. You see my husband had died suddenly six years prior to that and I was certain that I didn’t want to go through losing another person that I loved so I just locked off that part of myself. Don’t get me wrong. I had a full life as a Youth and Family Ministry Director at the largest Religious Science Church in the country that was very fulfilling so it was easy to involve myself in other people’s families as well as having a great relationship with my birth family. Now the great stuff happens. We entered my information and the very next morning I received several inquiries but the first and the best by far was from a guy who lived in Telluride, a small town in southwest Colorado. He didn’t bother to tell me that he was a minister or I probably would have run the other way knowing the demands of that lifestyle having served in churches for many years. I wrote in a very direct way that I was a student of spirituality and was currently studying Science of Mind and Chuck shot back an email saying he had been a student of Ernest Holmes for years. BINGO! The more we shared emails the more we realized we had crossed paths on many levels including growing up in the same town five miles from one another and going to rival high schools. After emailing five messages, we knew we both wanted to talk and we talked and talked and talked for days before he decided to drive to Denver for the meeting. Interestingly enough we both knew we were destined for marriage before we ever met in person. When you know you know! Within 2 months we were married and every day we wake up and realize that this is certainly a God thing and that we have come together to share more than either one of us could share alone. We got it all. Love, romance and an incredible Spiritual relationship were the reward.
We believe that it is time now for all of us to meet our spiritual partners so we can share what we know with others. It is important for all of us to keep doing the things that are of interest to us and going to places where others of like mind hang out. It is not a time to isolate and hibernate. This is the time to share our love, share our joy and share our purpose for being here on this beautiful Earth. There are always challenges in opening our hearts and allowing another person in but the rewards are worth the effort. The Course in Miracles teaches, “A relationship is more of an assignment than a choice. We can walk away from the assignment, but we cannot walk away from the lessons it presents. We stay with a relationship until a lesson is learned, or we simply learn it another way.” This is one assignment that has certainly been worth the lessons. Our wish for each of you during the month of LOVE is to share your love with everyone you meet. Remember that everyone is love and where love is fear cannot exist.
